Tyjon, who has made three first-team appearances for Blackburn, has been in contract dispute with Rovers for a while now, having recently extended his scholar deal as opposed to signing pro terms.

Now, into the last year of his deal at Ewood Park, Arsenal, who had an offer for the youngster rejected earlier this year, are looking to finally get his signature on the dotted line, as the North London outfit hope a fee of £2 million plus extras seals the deal.

In truth, there isn't really an area of the Blackburn side that couldn't do with some fresh additions, as Mowbray will be busy working with his recruitment team to identify some affordable targets on an obviously tight budget.

Tyjon's departure likely won't affect the first team, though it goes without saying that Blackburn would surely have preferred keeping him around rather than being forced into a sale now.
