Man City and Real Madrid have no chance for Pavlovic

The 21-year-old has been outstanding for Bayern this season, establishing himself as a key figure in Vincent Kompany’s starting lineup.

Kompany has rotated his midfield options effectively, with Leon Goretzka seeing significant game time in the Bundesliga.

However, Pavlovic has emerged as the preferred option in the Champions League, forming a strong partnership with Joshua Kimmich.

As a homegrown talent, Pavlovic has no desire to leave, and Bayern have no intention of selling him.

Christian Falk explains the situation:

Maybe Madrid would like to have him after he scored the first goal against them in the Champions League on Wednesday. But no, there has been no offer, no talks with the agent, and no talks with the club. Perhaps they and Pep Guardiola think he’s an interesting player, but he’s a Munich man. He loves Bayern Munich; he came up through the youth ranks.

I believe that behind Manuel Neuer, he’s spent the most time at the club. The 21-year-old is a young player but he was in the youth teams. He loves this club and I don’t think he’d leave at the moment, as FC Bayern are doing so well at the moment. They certainly have one of the best teams in Europe at the moment. Perhaps even the best team in Europe! He’s a big part of this side, so why should he leave?”

Man City should look for options elsewhere

While a move to Real Madrid would appeal to most players, Pavlovic appears fully committed to his boyhood club.

Guardiola is expected to reshape his midfield in the summer and could bring in one or two quality additions, and Pavlovic would have been an ideal fit.

However, with Goretzka potentially set to depart and Tom Bischof yet to establish himself, Bayern have no reason to part ways with one of their most important young players.
