Boca Juniors will face Gimnasia y Esgrima de Chivilcoy in the 2026 Copa Argentina last 64, following the draw for the federal competition.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, they are set to play the opening match of the 14th edition.

The draw took place at the Lionel Andrés Messi complex after the Apertura and Clausura draws for the same year.

Ricardo Rosica, the club’s secretary general, and Marcelo Delgado of the Football Council represented Boca.

Gimnasia y Esgrima de Chivilcoy compete in Torneo Federal A, the third tier of Argentine football, having joined the division this year.

The clubs have met only once before, in a friendly on 22 October 1974. Boca won 6-0, with four goals from Trobbiani, one from García Cambón, and an own goal by Milosi.
