Boca are exploring a move for Paulo Dybala amid uncertainty over his Roma future. According to LaNumer12.com.ar, Italian reports suggest he will not renew in June due to recurring injuries, and he has interest from MLS and Arab football.
Those around him talk of a genuine wish to return to Argentina, likelier mid-year than at the season’s start. Boca are waiting for a clear signal before advancing. Leandro Paredes is viewed as an important ally.
Another version says initial talks have already involved Boca, Dybala and Roma. After contact, Roma would be willing to agree a low-cost exit to avoid losing him mid-year, potentially clearing a path for January 2026.
Any deal would hinge on medical checks. Boca plan to scrutinise his record, mindful of experiences with players such as Ander Herrera and Edinson Cavani. In the last half-season he played 695 minutes across 13 games, with seven starts, two goals and one assist.
Meanwhile, Paredes was in Rome on Monday for personal reasons and watched former team-mates face Como. The coach noted Dybala’s stop-start form, saying modern football demands full fitness, and after a brief cameo praised his exceptional quality when fit.
The picture remains open amid fan hope, overseas offers and the need to resolve his fitness. Marcelo Delgado, the Football Council’s remaining member, said it is a mix of factors, that Boca hope to make an effort if the chance arises, and that he only knows the deal runs to next June before any assessment.
