According to LaNumer12.com.ar, Boca have turned to Kevin Serna after the Marino Hinestroza move collapsed, with Juan Román Riquelme shifting focus quickly.

The 28-year-old Colombian winger plays for Fluminense. He made his name at Alianza Lima, where Copa Libertadores performances prompted the Brazilian club to pay a significant fee in mid 2024. He is under contract until December 2027.

Serna fits Boca’s brief, offering pace, dribbling and the ability to work on either flank, though he is right footed. He is viewed as the profile to restore thrust out wide after the Hinestroza setback.

A deal will not be simple, as Fluminense value him despite regular rotation. Boca have opened talks and tabled an offer, seeking to buy a percentage of his rights. The player is open to Argentine football and to Boca. Fluminense hold 70% of his pass, with the remainder at Alianza.

His potential arrival would tighten the foreign quota. Riquelme has also moved for Ángel Romero, a Paraguayan who would join as a free agent after leaving Corinthians. The current group includes Edinson Cavani, Carlos Palacios, Ander Herrera and Williams Alarcón.

Marcelo Saracchi also counts because his Celtic loan ends in six months. One slot has been freed by Bruno Valdez ending his contract.
