Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu addressed the press ahead of tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash against Bodo/Glimt.
Speaking to Prime Video via FCInterNews, the 45-year-old commented on the synthetic pitch at the Aspmyra Stadion.
Cristian Chivu is set to make his touchline debut in the Champions League knockout stages.
Indeed, the former Parma coach led the Nerazzurri to a respectable top-ten finish in the league phase.
Despite winning five of their eight matches, the San Siro giants failed to secure an automatic spot in the Round of 16.
As a result, they’ll face surprise package Bodo/Glimt in the knockout playoff round.
However, Inter will take the field in high spirits after winning their last six outings across all competitions.
Furthermore, Chivu’s men beat arch-rivals Juventus in a mouth-watering Serie A showdown on Saturday.
Therefore, the visitors have every reason for optimism, even though they’ll play on the synthetic pitch for the first time in a while.

Asked how the synthetic pitch could affect his side’s performance, Chivu replied: “It shouldn’t change anything, and it shouldn’t worry us either.
“We have to be mentally and physically ready to accept the conditions. If you look for excuses or alibis, you risk not making it.”
Then, he urged his Inter side not to underestimate the Norwegian team.
“We have to be ready to deal with their intensity and what this team can do on this pitch,” he added.
“They’ve been doing it for several years, carrying forward an important project, and they’ve shown it through their results and more.
“We must accept all the conditions and not overthink it. It won’t be easy here.”
Finally, he outlined his desire to progress into the next round.
“It’s two games to be played. We have to be mature and understand the conditions, what the pitch demands over the 100 minutes here.
