Inter Milan failed to secure a second consecutive top-eight finish in the newly formatted league phase.

Despite beating Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 8, the Nerazzurri will continue their European journey in the knockout playoffs.

Furthermore, Cristian Chivu’s side will face Bodo/Glimt on the synthetic pitch in the first leg of their playoff tie on Wednesday.

However, the runaway Serie A leaders will take the field in high spirits after beating Juventus 3-2 in Saturday’s Derby d’Italia.

The role of the fourth official, meanwhile, will fall to Daniel Schlager.

In the VAR booth, Christian Dingert will oversee the match to correct any errors made by the on-pitch officials.

Assisting Dieperink in his duties will be Jérôme Brisard.

After falling victim to disastrous officiating in several matches this season, Inter will hope to avoid further controversy in this clash.
