Victor Boniface looked set to leave Bayer Leverkusen when he was left out of the squad for Wednesday's Champions League match against Sparta Prague.
Boniface is now set to remain with Leverkusen, to whom he remains fully committed.
“Transfer rumors are normal in football. It’s always flattering when big clubs show interest, but my focus right now is 100% on Bayer Leverkusen,” Boniface told Sportsboom.com when asked about the interest from Al Nassr.
“A lot of calculations have also happened here and there, but I love playing here, and I want to give my best to the team. What happens in the future will happen, but for now, my mind is only on helping Leverkusen achieve our goals.”
The 24-year-old is now looking to rediscover his best form after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
“Every match is an opportunity. I want to contribute goals, assists, and energy to the team. The fans have been incredible, and I owe it to them and myself to perform at the highest level," he told Sportsboom.
“I just want to stay fit, keep playing, and keep improving. If I do that, I believe everything else will fall into place.”
