Oscar Bobb is likely to leave Manchester City in January as Borussia Dortmund and Fulham fight it out for the 22-year-old forward, as per a new report.

The Norway international has failed to hit the mark for Pep Guardiola this term and after recurring injury setbacks since the start of the 2025-26 season, Bobb will be allowed to leave his boyhood club in the final weeks of the ongoing transfer window.

City have strengthened their attacking ranks with the stellar addition of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth as they look to trim a seven point deficit to Premier League leaders Arsenal and vie for silverware on four fronts in the second half of the season.

With two wins in their last seven games in all competitions, Guardiola and co are in desperate need of a change of fortunes if they are to challenge Mikel Arteta’s formidable Gunners in the title race, having failed to win in the Premier League since a hard-fought win away at Nottingham Forest on December 27.

A 3-1 defeat to Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night has raised further questions over this City side, whose leadership group have since spent over £10,000 to refund 374 travelling fans their matchday ticket costs in the Arctic Circle.

Guardiola is expected to reap the rewards of City’s January transfer business in the second half of the season, with Marc Guehi set to make his club debut after completing a £20 million transfer from Crystal Palace on Monday.

City are still missing a long list of key names but there is enough firepower in the available group to beat Wolves on Saturday, with Semenyo also expected to return to the starting XI after missing the trip to Scandinavia in midweek.

Executives at the Etihad Stadium are not expected to make any major additions to the squad in the final weeks of the window, though the club are assessing the possibility of shoring up their right-back options with the potential signing of Feyenoord teenager Givairo Read.

Departures from the senior ranks are set to take centre stage in what remains of the window, with Mail Sport’s Jack Gaughan reporting that Fulham have emerged as a strong contender to sign Oscar Bobb on a permanent deal.

Fulham manager Marco Silva is spearheading the west London club’s interest in the Norway international, who is valued at £30 million by Manchester City and is expected to find a new club by deadline day.

Borussia Dortmund also remain interested in the City academy graduate but the finances involved in as potential deal have put off the German outfit, who also have the option of taking Bobb on loan this month should they commit to a permanent purchase at the end of the season.

City have struggled to find the back of the net when it has mattered this month and despite putting 10 past a sorry Exeter City side in the FA Cup, Guardiola will be desperate to see his side soon return to their imperious selves in the final third – starting with Wolves on Saturday.
