AFC Bournemouth are the latest club to emerge in the race to sign Aaron Ramsdale, but Arsenal are still pushing for a permanent transfer over a loan move.

Fabrizio Romano reports that on top of all the other interest in Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, Bournemouth are also keen to bring their former player back to the club.

Romano writes that both Wolves and Bournemouth are interested, but neither have submitted a permanent transfer offer yet.

Previous reports had confirmed Wolves’ loan offer to Arsenal, but the Gunners have rejected all loan options so far as they want a permanent sale.

David Ornstein reported on Monday that Wolves’ initial offer was a loan with an option to buy, covering the majority of Ramsdale’s wages this season. But he added that they viewed the deal as a difficult one to do.

Ornstein also confirmed that Ajax and Southampton are interested in Ramsdale, so there are four clubs in the mix right now.

Pete O’Rourke writes for Football Insider that if Arsenal did sign off on a loan deal, they’d want a £6m loan fee, so the Gunners are clearly hoping to bring in some money regardless of the manner of Ramsdale’s departure.

Ramsdale is yet to feature for Arsenal since returning from England duty, with David Raya playing both pre-season friendlies upon their returns and then starting the opening game against Wolves.

Raya put in a very strong performance against Wolves, making a couple of great saves and playing out from the back effectively as usual. It doesn’t look like Mikel Arteta is set to change his thinking on the number-one spot at the club.
