Roma’s Artem Dovbyk scored 17 goals in his first season at the club but that hasn’t been enough to win the trust of new boss Gian Piero Gasperini. His injury has meant that he has not been available to Gasperini at his best and that could be the deciding factor. Additionally, the form of new signing Evan Ferguson in the pre-season friendlies has made the Ukrainian expendable.
Dovbyk has reportedly been offered to both Atalanta and Milan and neither have shown too much interest despite being in the market for a striker. However, the latest news coming out via TMW, is that he has also been offered to Premier League club Bournemouth. A bidding war could be a possibility as Leeds United and West Ham are also interested in him.
Roma will be looking to re-coup at least the entirety of the €30m they spent to buy Dovbyk from Girona in 2024. The presence of Evanilson makes Bournemouth an unlikely option though, compared to Leeds and West Ham, both of whom need a striker to perhaps stay in the Premier League.
