Sunderland head to Bournemouth on Saturday seeking to halt a run of defeats, with injuries shaping both squads. According to Sunderland Echo, Régis Le Bris is managing several major concerns, while Andoni Iraola’s side have a shorter list but still notable absences.

Nordi Mukiele is ruled out. Le Bris said the defender faces between a fortnight and a month with a calf issue, and he is likely to be replaced in the starting XI by either Lutsharel Geertruida or Luke O'Nien.

Reinildo is also sidelined after a knee injury that is set to keep him out for around three weeks, and Sunderland are hopeful he will return in time for the Newcastle United game.

Brian Brobbey has sustained a groin problem and will be out for between two weeks and a month.

Bertrand Traore is available after returning to training this week, and he could be involved at the weekend.
