Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi (19) is dreaming big. The forward has already stated the objective of playing for France in the near future, and speaking to Téléfoot, he announced two other major objectives.
FC Lorient academy product Kroupi joined up with Bournemouth in the summer. He had completed his move to the Cherries the previous winter, but spent the second half of the season on loan with Les Merlus in Ligue 2. He helped his club to promotion back to Ligue 1, but rather than remain at the Moustoir, he made the short hop across the Channel.
His adaptation to life in the Premier League has been seamless. The Frenchman already has eight goals in 24 games in the league and he has already set his sights on bigger things. “The most important thing [for me] is to perform as I need to here (at Bournemouth) and after that, we’ll see what happens,” he told Téléfoot.
“I had dreams of winning the Ballon d’Or, of playing for the biggest clubs in the world, but they aren’t really dreams anymore, rather objectives because I know that I can make them a reality. I’m now working to get to where I want to be,” added Kroupi.
The Frenchman’s contract with Bournemouth runs until the summer of 2030.
