Jarrod Bowen made history in West Ham United’s 3-1 victory over Sunderland in the Premier League at the London Stadium on Saturday.
Bowen set up the Hammers’ first goal, sending a cross into the box for Crysencio Summerville. He rose highest to power the ball into the roof of the net.
The England international doubled West Ham’s lead, beating goalkeeper Robin Roefs from the penalty spot.
Bowen now has the outright most league goal involvements (102) for West Ham, overtaking Michail Antonio.
The 29-year-old has also scored and assisted in 11 different league games, the most of any player in the club’s history.
Bowen has registered 80 goals and 53 assists in 262 appearances for West Ham across all competitions.
Mateus Fernandes extended the hosts’ advantage with a superb strike, curling the ball into the top-left corner for his third league goal.
Brian Brobbey scored the consolation goal for Sunderland, heading Nordi Mukiele’s cross into the bottom-left corner.
West Ham are still 18th, two points adrift of safety. Nuno Espirito Santos’ side face Chelsea in their next league game next Saturday.
Sunderland missed the chance to move level on points with fifth-placed Manchester United. They host Burnley in their next league outing.
