Brabinhas full-back reflects on Corinthians’ exit from the Women’s Copinha

On the night of this Saturday (13), Corinthians said goodbye to the Women's Copinha in the quarterfinals after being defeated by Internacional 4-1 at CERET Stadium. The right-back Rafa Rocha, who scored the only goal for the Brabinhas in the match, gave an interview to TV Gazeta and analyzed the team's performance, mentioning that the team's nervousness caused them to take a while to find themselves in the game.

“It's sad, we've been working hard. Only we know how much we fight, train, and work every day. But unfortunately, the result wasn't what we wanted. We fought until the end, did what we could, what we managed to do. We still managed to score a goal, but unfortunately, the result wasn't the way we wanted,” she began.

She continued: “In the first half, we were already very nervous because we had a big, well-prepared opponent. We were nervous, it took us a while to get into the game. We also had the chance to score, unfortunately it was very difficult and we couldn't change the result. And we allowed them to reach our goal a few times, they managed to finish and score, and unfortunately, they took the win today,” she said.

This season, Rafa Rocha, 18, has been participating in some training sessions with Corinthians' main team. In addition, she has already played in two matches for the Brabas. With a contract until December 2027, she has scored eight goals in 82 matches for the club's Under-17 and Under-20 teams at Parque São Jorge.

In three editions of the Women's Copinha, Corinthians has yet to win the tournament. In 2023, the Brabinhas were eliminated in the group stage. Last year, meanwhile, the Alvinegro fell to Santos in the quarterfinals, just as in 2025, but this time to Internacional.

In the current edition, the Brabinhas earned seven points in the group stage, beating Criciúma and Aliança-GO by 4-2 and 7-1, respectively, as well as drawing 2-2 with Flamengo.
