Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has turned down the chance to join Chelsea this summer, according to L’Equipe.

The 23-year-old France international, who recorded 13 goals and eight assists across all competitions last season and featured prominently for Les Bleus at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, has formally informed the PSG hierarchy that he will not sign a contract extension at Parc des Princes.

With his current deal entering its final two years, PSG are now forced to consider a high-value sale this summer.

Chelsea’s recruitment team had identified Barcola as a target to strengthen their wide options and made approaches to the winger’s representatives regarding a high-profile move to Stamford Bridge.

However, Barcola decisively turned down Chelsea’s offer, citing a desire for a different sporting project as he weighs up his options across Europe.

Barcola’s refusal to consider Chelsea has put Liverpool in pole position to secure his signature. The Reds have made Barcola a priority as they search for an elite wide player after missing out on RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, though Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation.

Having established himself as one of Europe’s most productive wingers in recent seasons, contributing heavily to PSG’s back-to-back Champions League runs, the French champions are holding out for a valuation exceeding £140 million (€160m) to sanction any summer departure.

With Chelsea now effectively out of the running, Liverpool are preparing to test PSG’s resolve.

For Bayern, a move for Barcola may only be pursued if Luis Diaz departs, with the Colombian attracting interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are exploring a move for Vinicius Jr, though the Brazilian would prefer to remain at Real Madrid despite an ongoing contract impasse.
