Real Madrid forward Brahim Diaz reached an important personal milestone during the team’s 4-1 victory over Elche at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The versatile attacker made his 150th appearance for the Spanish giants, marking a memorable moment in what has been a significant journey with the club.
Now in his fifth season with Real Madrid, Brahim has gradually established himself as a valuable squad player who can operate in multiple attacking roles.
After the match, Brahim spoke about the pride he feels in reaching such a landmark with a club of Real Madrid’s stature. Reflecting on his achievement and the importance of the victory, he said:
“It’s an incredible figure with the best club in the world. It’s a dream to keep playing matches for Real Madrid.
“Today was important, we had to keep adding and winning to give our fans that happiness.”
The forward also highlighted the collective effort behind the win and made sure to acknowledge the contributions of several young players who have recently stepped up for the team.
“I am very happy for the victory, for the effort of the whole team and the commitment.
“Also, thanks to the young players, who are doing very well, for the effort they are making and how much they are helping us.”
One of the biggest highlights of the evening was the spectacular goal scored by Arda Guler.
The young Turkish talent stunned the Bernabeu with a remarkable strike from his own half. Brahim admitted that the team already knew about Guler’s shooting ability.

“He hit the crossbar once against Osasuna, and today he nailed it. He has that wonderful strike, and it was an incredible goal.”
Brahim also spoke about his tactical role under Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa.
The coach has encouraged him to play freely across the attacking areas while remaining heavily involved in possession and build-up play.
“To get involved as much as possible, to help with the build-up, to turn and help with possession, between the lines.
“To be everywhere and move freely. It’s working out very well and I’m happy. Also, for those 150 matches.”
With the Elche match behind them, Real Madrid’s attention now shifts to a much bigger challenge.
A Champions League clash against Manchester City awaits, and Brahim is expecting another unforgettable European night.
“That’s right. It won’t be easy, but I’m sure, as I always say, that it will be one of those Champions nights that we love so much. It will be wonderful.”
Before finishing, Brahim also praised teammate Federico Valverde, whose long-range goals and relentless energy continue to make him one of the most influential players in the squad.
“It doesn’t surprise me because I know what Valverde is capable of. It’s an honour to have him as a teammate and to consider him a friend and a brother.
“I’m very happy for him, and I’m sure that if he keeps shooting like that, he’s going to score many more, he just has to keep shooting,” he concluded.
