Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will have some tricky decisions to make in defense against Cagliari tomorrow.

The Nerazzurri coach is still dealing with something of an injury crisis at the back.

Both Francesco Acerbi and Benjamin Pavard are still on the sidelines.

Then, Stefan de Vrij and Matteo Darmian have also been dealing with fitness concerns. The former did grit his teeth and play for the closing stages of Monday’s match against Como.

One thing that’s clear is that Yann Bisseck will start tomorrow away to Cagliari. The German has proven to be a real stalwart at the back amid all the defensive injuries.

And then, Alessandro Bastoni should also be in the lineup.

Against Como on Monday, Bastoni played in the centre of the back three. The versatile Carlos Augusto started on the left.

That could once again be the case tomorrow against Cagliari, reports the Gazzetta.

On the other hand, the newspaper notes, Stefan de Vrij could come back into the team. In that case, Bastoni would move back to the left.

Meanwhile, another boost to the defensive depth is the return of former Manchester United and Torino veteran Matteo Darmian.
