Sunderland have confirmed the signing of NECÂ Nijmegen goalkeeper Robin Roefs.
Roefs becomes the ninth permanent arrival at the Stadium of Light this summer as Régis Le Bris' side step up preparations for a long-awaited Premier League return.
The 22-year-old moves for a reported ÂŁ9.5m after enjoying a breakout season last term with 34 appearances as NEC secured an eighth place finish in the Eredivisie.
He has signed a five-year contract on Wearside and will immediately replace promotion-winning stopper Anthony Patterson, who is sidelined by injury.
The Black Cats kick off their top flight campaign at home to West Ham on 16 August.
