The quarter final draw is in, and here it is:
Arsenal vs. Crystal Palace
Cardiff City vs. Chelsea
Manchester City vs. Brentford
Newcastle vs. Fulham
The quarter-final draw for the EFL Cup is coming up shortly.
These are the eight teams left:
FULL TIME!
Newcastle 2-0 Tottenham
Added time at St. James', where Newcastle have made light work of Spurs.
The holders are heading into the quarter-finals.
FULL TIME!
Liverpool 0-3 Crystal Palace
Arsenal 2-0 Brighton
Wolves 3-4 Chelsea
Swansea 1-3 Man City
GOAL! CITY THROUGH!
Rayan Cherki smashes home a fine finish to make it 3-1, and Pep's men are into the quarter-final draw.
That takes place on the hour, so stay tuned.
GOAL! PALACE MAKE IT 3-0!
Yeremy Pino curls home beautifully inside the box to put the exclamation mark on a fantastic win for Palace, and yet another loss for Liverpool.
Surreal times at Anfield.
GOAL! OR DO THEY???
Wolves won't lie down, and Wolfe has got another to make it 4-3.
It's a scrappy goal but it's game back on, and there's plenty of time left.
GOAL! CHELSEA SEAL IT!
The 10 men have made it 4-2 and that's game over.
It's a stunning finish from Jamie Gittens, who turns and hits a loose ball from the edge of the box.
RED CARD FOR CHELSEA!
Liam Delap is given a second yellow and he's off.
Chelsea are on the ropes here, and what a horrid injury return for the striker.
The Palace fans are chanting "Sacked in the morning" in the direction of Arne Slot.
That won't happen, of course, but the Liverpool boss is in the midst of a full-blown crisis just five months on from lifting the league title.
RED CARD FOR LIVERPOOL!
It goes from bad to worse as youngster Amara Nallo is dismissed for a last man challenge on Justin Devenny.
You have to feel the defender but it was the correct decision.
Game over and Liverpool are on their way to a sixth defeat in seven games.
GOAL! MAN CITY LEAD LATE ON!
Omar Marmoush smashes the ball into the roof of the Swansea net, and City have the lead for the first time with less than 15 minutes to go.
It's the Egyptian's first of the season after an injury-hit start.
GOAL! SAKA SEALS THE WIN!
Bukayo Saka has barely been on the pitch for five minutes but he has surely sealed Arsenal's passage to the quarter-finals.
He smacks home the rebound after Jason Steele denies Jurrien Timber.
Another win for Arteta looms.
Just under 20 minutes left at Anfield, the Emirates and Swansea.com Stadium.
Brighton and Swansea are still right in it, but Liverpool look to be crashing out.
HUGE CHANCE FOR WOLVES!
It should be 3-2 and Jorgen Strand Larsen knows it.
The Wolves striker puts the ball just wide when you would have put your money on the ball rippling the back of the net.
His reaction said it all.
GOAL! WOLTEMADE DOES IT AGAIN!
Those misses don't matter now as Newcastle's main man scores yet again.
It's an absolute horror show from Spurs who lose the ball in midfield before keeper AntonĂn KinskĂ˝ gets nowhere near Anthony Elanga's cross, with Woltemade beating him to it to head home.
Long way back now for Thomas Frank's side.
WHAT A MISS!
Newcastle miss another gilt-edged chance to make it 2-0, this time Joe Willock somehow firing wide with a header with the goal gaping.
GOAL! ARSENAL TAKE THE LEAD!
Breakthrough at the Emirates, and it's Ethan Nwaneri who's got the goal.
Lovely first time finish from the youngster after fellow academy graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly slips the ball across to him inside the box.
Brighton keeper Jason Steele got down but the ball squeezed into the bottom corner.
Jean-Philippe Mateta is on for Eddie Nketiah. It could get a lot worse for Liverpool.
GOAL! WOLVES PULL ONE BACK!
Hope for the hosts at Molineux?
Wolves intercept some slack Chelsea passing, and the ball finds its way to Tolu, who finishes brilliantly from the left-hand side of the box.
He scored in the win over Everton in the previous round. Could he have sparked the most remarkable of comebacks?
BACK UNDERWAY!
Our four earlier kick-offs are into the second half as the referee blows the whistle for half-time at St. James'.
WHAT A CHANCE!
Harvey Barnes hits the bar when it looked easier to score.
Again, Spurs fail to deal with a set-piece, but the winger cracks the top of the bar with an acrobatic effort from close range.
HALF TIME!
To add to that, his career record against the Reds for Palace and Watford is exceptional.
Four have come this season alone!
GOAL! SARR AT THE DOUBLE!
Incredible. He just loves playing against Liverpool.
It's a lovely one-two between the Senegalese international and Yeremy Pino, and he makes no mistake with a lovely finish past Freddie Woodman.
GOAL! CHELSEA MAKE IT 3-0!
EstĂŞvĂŁo gets the Blues' third and this one is over before the break.
Lovely dinked finish from the Brazilian, who continues to impress.
GOAL! SARR STRIKES AGAIN VS. LIVERPOOL!
Palace take the lead at Anfield, and it's Ismaïla Sarr once again who scores against the Premier League champions.
The winger strikes home with his left foot after a Joe Gomez error inside the box.
GOAL! NEWCASTLE LEAD!
Fabian Schär powers a header in from a corner, and the Magpies have a mostly deserved lead.
GOAL! CITY ARE LEVEL!
Swansea live to regret that missed chance.
Jérémy Doku does very well on the left, rescuing the ball from going out for a corner, cutting in and firing towards goal.
It hits off Cameron Burgess and in.
Lively start at a loud St. James' with the holders flying out of the blocks.
Harvey Barnes has already had a good chance, but Spurs are right in this one.
Rio Ngumoha has been the standout performer for Liverpool so far.
The 17-year-old looks dangerous every time he gets the ball, which isn't something you could say about a lot of his senior colleagues right now.
HUGE CHANCE!
Swansea should be 2-0 up.
It's incredibly sloppy passing from City at the back, and Melker Widell capitalises.
He beats Trafford with a low shot, but also the post.
Federico Chiesa fires over the bar after excellent work to get past a couple of Palace defenders.
That was a good chance for the Italian, who netted in Liverpool's loss to the Eagles to start this wretched run of results.
Pep Guardiola has only lost one of 42 cup ties against lower league sides in his time with Manchester City - a 1-0 loss to Wigan in the FA Cup in 2018.
Could Swansea become the second tonight? The 2013 champions are good value for their lead.
KICK OFF!
Underway at St. James' Park in our fifth and final game of the night.
GOAL! CHELSEA MAKE IT TWO!
It gets worse for Wolves as Tyrique George makes it 2-0 inside 15 minutes.
It's the easiest goal the forward will ever score as he taps into an empty net after Gittens' fine cross finds him two yards out.
Game over?
Diego Gómez fires wide for Brighton, who have made a strong start in North London.
GOAL! SWANSEA LEAD AGAINST MAN CITY!
Upset on the cards????
Gonçalo Franco has given the Swans a shock early lead with a stunning strike.
He collects the ball on the edge of the box before whipping one past James Trafford.
GOAL! CHELSEA TAKE THE LEAD!
That didn't take long and it's a first Blues goal for Andrey Santos.
The Brazilian midfielder fires home confidently from the edge of the box after being slipped in by Jamie Gittens.
More misery at Molineux for Vitor Pereira and his side.
CLOSE!
First chance of the night goes to Mikel Merino, with the Arsenal midfielder firing wide from outside the box.
No VAR in the EFL Cup tonight, which could make for some very interesting decisions.
KICK OFF!
And we're underway!
Minutes away from kick off at the Emirates, Anfield, Molineux and the Swansea.com Stadium.
Arsenal have only conceded a single goal at the Emirates so far this season, and that was scored by Erling Haaland.
Brighton might get more chances tonight with the Gunners ringing the changes.
Liverpool's bench might be the youngest and most inexperienced in their history with two 18-year-olds, three 19-year-olds, two 20-year-olds and two 21-year-olds on it.
Will Arne Slot's rogue selection pay off?
