According to a report by Daniele Longo, the future of Milan’s January transfer market for a new striker hinges entirely on the potential sale of Santiago Giménez.
Premier League clubs Brentford and Sunderland have both made enquiries about the availability of Giménez, nicknamed “El Bebote.”
Despite this interest, the Mexican forward remains determined to succeed at Milan, with the club being his priority for both the present and the future.
The report emphasizes that Milan’s primary objective in the January market is to reinforce the central defense with an experienced player. The second priority is recruiting a new number nine, but this move is completely dependent on Giménez’s status.
Only if Giménez is sold will sporting director Igli Tare aggressively enter the market to find a new striker who fits the tactical requirements of the coach. Therefore, Giménez’s potential departure is the single biggest factor that will change the Rossoneri market in January.
