Brentford to assess Henderson and Thiago before Wolves trip | OneFootball

Brentford will make late calls on Jordan Henderson and Igor Thiago before Saturday’s visit to Wolves at Molineux. The striker is on 11 Premier League goals this season.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, both started the weekend draw with Leeds but suffered knocks that kept them out of the midweek Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester City.

Head coach Keith Andrews said he does not yet know if either will be ready, with the pair assessed by medical staff ahead of the game.

Andrews added that, excluding cruciate injuries to Antoni Milambo and Fabio Carvalho, the squad’s availability has been strong, praising the club’s medical and performance teams and the training balance.

Josh Dasilva remains out with a knee ligament problem. Frank Onyeka and Dango Ouattara are unavailable while on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Nigeria and Burkina Faso.

A former Wolves midfielder, Andrews said he is relishing a return, having spent nine years at the club after joining at 15, and expressed admiration for Rob Edwards’ coaching journey.
