The Europa League match against Stuttgart is and will be Evan Ferguson’s last for Roma.

This was confirmed first by Gasperini and then by Hurzeler, manager of Brighton, the club that holds the 2004-born player.

The manager spoke about the Irish striker: “I spoke to him, and he said something interesting. He said he’s learned a lot.”

Hurzeler continued: “I think this is the most important thing: that loan players learn something in a new environment, with a new culture and a new style of play; that they learn to fight and adapt to different circumstances.”

The Brighton manager concluded: “Before his injury, he played a lot of minutes, so he had a really positive time at Roma. He scored some good goals, he was part of the team, he was a starter, and I think that’s also the second objective of a loan.”

“After this conversation I had with him, I feel quite positive and confident that we could see a different Evan Ferguson.”
