According to Fabrizio Romano, Brighton are eyeing a renewed move for former Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell, with Toulouse now valuing the England under-21s defender at more than €23m.

The Seagulls had a €23m offer turned down in January and the French club's asking price has increased since the winter window. Brighton could return with a fresh bid this summer.

Cresswell, now 23, came through Leeds' academy and broke into the first team, but minutes were limited amid strong competition at centre-back.

He left after more than a decade at Elland Road, joining Toulouse in July 2024 for a fee thought to be around £3.8m.

Any future sale would trigger a sell-on clause that would give Leeds 15 per cent of any profit made by Toulouse.
