Erling Haaland may be on an insane goal-scoring spree - but Bromley hotshot Michael Cheek has still managed to beat the Norwegian sharpshooter to 20 league goals in 2025.
Haaland is currently on an 11-game goal streak for club and country, bagging a brace in Man City's 2-0 win over Everton last weekend, while Cheek is on a more modest three game scoring run after his strike in the Ravens' 2-1 defeat to Cambridge.
However, the 34-year-old striker has been in fantastic form for Bromley and his numbers over 2025 as a whole put even Haaland in the shade.
In fact, when Cheek pulled a long ball forward out of the sky and deftfully lobbed the home against The U's on Saturday he became the first player to hit 20 league goals in the top four tiers of English football this year.
Haaland's double against the Toffees took him to 19 this calendar year, while Plymouth's Lorent Tolaj took his personal tally to 18 strikes (six for the Pilgrims in League One and 12 for Port Vale in League Two).
Winner of the League Two Golden Boot last term with 25 goals, Cheek looks intent on retaining his crown and he will hope to add to his tally next weekend when Bromley host high-flying MK Dons.
