Bruno Genesio is close to taking charge at OM. The 59-year-old is lined up to replace Habib Beye, whose end to the season did not convince the new hierarchy. His brief would include a push back to the Champions League.
According to RMC Sport, the former Lyon coach is set to sign a two-year contract with an option for one further season.
He left Lille after guiding the club directly into the Champions League.
At OM, he would step into a heated setting on La Canebière. New president Stéphane Richard is said to have made him the priority, while Christophe Galtier was also discussed but his case appeared more complex.
Genesio would be expected to rebuild quickly and provide a clear sporting direction for a club still under construction.
