Alexander Isak once again not named in the matchday squad.

However, it has been reported that the striker met with a number of Newcastle United board members at his house on Monday, as the club look to get Isak back into group training and playing first team football, for Newcastle. A new contract said to be also set to be put in place, if Alexander Isak commits for the rest of this 2025/26 season.

Bruno Guimaraes speaking to Brazilian media about the situation.

The Brazil international hoping to have Alexander Isak back in the Newcastle United team in the near future.

Bruno Guimaraes asked about the ongoing absence of Alexander Isak by ESPN Brazil:

“I haven’t had any contact with him.

“We have been training in the mornings and he trains at a different time, when no one from the team is around.

“As captain, and for us as players, it’s a tough situation, because we want to have the best players with us.

“But that is something we can’t control.

“The club, the management, the owners are dealing with it, and I hope it gets sorted out in the best way.

“We are really missing our striker.

“A player who scored more than 20 goals in the Premier League last season, so of course he’s someone we feel the absence of.

“We hope to have our best player back, but unfortunately, this is a situation that neither I nor any other player can control.”
