Seven Bundesliga clubs remain in danger, with the bottom four or five still at risk of going straight down. According to BuLi News, tight margins will decide positions 16-18.
Köln, on 31 points, boast 43 goals and 34 combined from their front three, yet have conceded 50. A matchday 30 draw with St. Pauli kept a five-point buffer. Threat: 10%.
Borussia Mönchengladbach also have 31, stumbling through 2-2 at Heidenheim and 3-3 with Köln. With Haris Tabakovic on 11 goals, they are five clear of 16th and nine of 17th. Threat: 15%.
Hamburg look relatively safe on 31, helped by beating Stuttgart and drawing at Bayern Munich. They face Werder Bremen on Saturday in a six-pointer. Threat: 25%.
Werder Bremen’s form swung, wins over Wolfsburg, Heidenheim and a 4-1 against Union then two defeats, including Köln. Justin Njinmah’s five goals may need topping up. Threat: 20%.
St. Pauli are 16th on 26 with a kinder slate against Heidenheim, Köln and Wolfsburg. A 5-0 loss to Bayern Munich and a winless run since February have upped jeopardy before Friday. Threat: 50%.
Wolfsburg sit 17th on 24 after a historically poor season, with injuries and signings misfiring. Beating Union closed the gap, and 16th plus play-offs looks likeliest. Threat: 55%.
Heidenheim are bottom on 19 after a 3-1 win over Union on 11 April, two behind Wolfsburg. Draws with Mönchengladbach and Leverkusen helped, but Bayern Munich and Freiburg loom, making 16th the target. Threat: 95%.
