Corinthians have allowed centre-back Cacá to undergo medical tests and finalise a move to Vitória. He has sat out recent sessions at CT Joaquim Grava amid negotiations with the Bahia club.
ge.globo reports that the parties should confirm a loan until the end of the season, with a possible obligation to buy, and the fee remains undisclosed. The clubs had already agreed terms while the player’s representatives adjusted final details.
Cacá, 26, was not named in Dorival Júnior’s squads for the wins over Red Bull Bragantino in the Brasileirão and São Bernardo in the Campeonato Paulista. Athletico Paranaense made an approach earlier this year but it did not progress.
In 2026 he has slipped down the pecking order following the arrival of Gabriel Paulista, who now partners Gustavo Henrique. Despite Félix Torres leaving on loan to Internacional, he sits behind André Ramalho and João Pedro Tchoca and has only one appearance.
He joined in March 2024 on loan from Tokushima Vortis, and was bought permanently for $2 million after triggering an obligation at 2,200 minutes. Corinthians retained 60% of his economic rights, his contract runs to December 2028, and his domestic release clause is R$ 300 million.
Cacá has made 72 appearances, starting 65, and scored eight goals.
