The Confederation of African Football has opened an investigation into incidents that followed Nigeria's 2-0 win over Algeria in Saturday's Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final.
Algerian players and officials were seen rushing towards the referee, then confronting match officials in the tunnel to the dressing rooms. CAF said there were intolerable acts that breached regulations.
The confederation will also examine subsequent clashes in the media area involving Moroccan and Algerian journalists.
The scenes unfolded after the final whistle inside and around the tunnel area.
Footage of the confrontations circulated widely, prompting the organisation to react.
