Camavinga and Cherki on the bench for Real Madrid and Manchester City in Champions League

Eduardo Camavinga will start on the bench for Real Madrid against Manchester City in the Champions League last 16 first leg at the Bernabeu on Wednesday at 21:00. Rayan Cherki is among the substitutes for City.

According to L'Équipe, Kylian Mbappé misses out with a knee injury, and Madrid's line-up looks as expected. Camavinga, absent from the last two matches with a toothache, is not in the starting XI.

Aurélien Tchouaméni starts in midfield and Ferland Mendy at left-back for the hosts. Young Spaniard Thiago Pitarch keeps his place after starting the previous two games.

For City, Pep Guardiola has opted for Jérémy Doku, the former Rennes winger, and Brazilian Savinho out wide. Cherki may come on later in the game.

Former Lens defender Abdukodir Khusanov is also included in the visitors' back line.
