Just weeks before the kick-off of AFCON 2025 in Morocco, Samuel Eto’o is working to dismiss the current head coach of the Indomitable Lions, Marc Brys.
Cameroon's exit in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup play-offs was a bitter disappointment for the entire nation. While some have pointed the finger at him, Samuel Eto’o has already identified his own scapegoat: Marc Brys. For the president of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot), the Belgian coach is the final straw.
Locked in a constant feud with the coach, Eto’o is reportedly already pulling strings to get the Belgian tactician dismissed, according to local media. The legendary striker isn’t waiting for AFCON to act—he’s pushing for the Flemish coach’s departure before the tournament begins in Morocco. He has reportedly requested that the national technical department draw up a list of potential managers to lead the Indomitable Lions into the continental showdown in Morocco.
