DR Congo will kick off their campaign in Group D of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025) on Tuesday against Benin.
The Leopards are determined to break a curse. They haven’t won their opening match at the CAN since their 1-0 victory over Morocco back in 2017.
The Cheetahs will be without four suspended players for this encounter: Mohamed Tijani, Steve Mounié, Marcel Dandjinou, and Junior Olaitan.
The match between DR Congo and Benin is scheduled for Tuesday, December 23, 2025, kicking off at 12:30 GMT.
The match will be broadcast on beIN Sports, the official broadcaster of the tournament, including beIN SPORTS 2 in France and beIN Sports Mena MAX 1, 2, and 3. New World TV, Canal+ CAN, and Canal+ Afrique's 100% CAN channel will also be showing the competition. The host country's channel, Arryadia, will serve as an official broadcaster as well.
