After the last round of 16 matches played on Wednesday night, the quarter-final fixtures of the Carabao Cup are now known.

Having knocked out Tottenham (2-0) thanks to goals from Fabian Schar and Nick Woltemade, Newcastle continue their title defense. The Magpies will face another Premier League side, Fulham, at St James' Park.

The only lower-division side left in the competition, Cardiff City, will host Chelsea. The Blues scraped through in a dramatic away win over Wolves (3-4).

Last season's FA Cup winners, Crystal Palace, who knocked out Liverpool in the round of 16, face another massive challenge as they travel to Arsenal.

Finally, Manchester City, eight-time winners of the trophy, will take on Brentford after steering clear of a Swansea scare (1-3).
