Flamengo have received a boost for the Carioca, with goalkeeper Andrew now registered in FERJ's BIRA and eligible to make his debut against Fluminense at the Maracanã on Sunday 25, according to Coluna Do Fla.
His BIRA entry was delayed because the club could not secure his paperwork before the Rio de Janeiro city holiday on Tuesday 20. Although he was listed in the CBF's daily registration bulletin, he was unavailable for the meeting with Vasco on Wednesday 21.
Despite missing the Clássico dos Milhões, Andrew was at the Maracanã and was introduced to Flamengo supporters before kick-off. The presentation took place during the team's warm-up on the pitch.
He is the club's second addition of the current window. The goalkeeper arrives to compete with Rossi, who has been the first-choice in recent seasons.
Andrew has been playing for Gil Vicente in Portugal with the European season in full flow. He reported in full condition and is fit to make his Flamengo debut.
The fixture is part of the fourth round, with kick-off at 18:00, Brasília time.
