Carlo Ancelotti sends Vinícius Jr. assurance to Real Madrid fans | OneFootball

Former Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has this week sent something of an assurance the way of the Blancos faithful, regarding the form of Vinícius Jr.

This, of course, comes fresh off something of an underwhelming campaign for the Brazilian all told.

After establishing himself as a frontrunner for the Ballon d’Or owing to his performances over the length of the 2023/24 season, Vinícius failed to come close to replicating his scintillating best a year on.

Everything from the 24-year-old’s general form to his ability to beat his man in one-on-one situations and production in the final third took a hit.

As much even resulted in Vinícius being singled out for regular criticism on the part of the Real Madrid faithful.

One individual, though, of the opinion that it will not be long before the explosive attacker is back to his best is the aforementioned Carlo Ancelotti.

Speaking during an interview with Marca this week, recently-departed Real Madrid headmaster Ancelotti was drawn on Vinícius’ choppy recent form.

And the Italian made use of the opportunity to assure that:

”He’s a hard worker and a fighter like few others. His best version will soon emerge.”
