Carlos Miguel is closing in on a notable mark and could lift his first Palmeiras trophy in the Paulista final on Sunday 8. According to Nosso Palestra, an appearance would take the goalkeeper to 26 matches for the club, matching his total at Corinthians.
In the first leg on Wednesday 4, he saved a penalty and helped secure a 1-0 win, giving Palmeiras the edge in the tie.
Miguel has played 25 times for Palmeiras so far. His 26 outings for Corinthians remain his longest senior sequence to date.
He has also represented Boa Esporte, playing 8 games, and Nottingham, where he featured 3 times.
The second leg is scheduled for Sunday 8 at 20:30 Brasília time in the São Paulo interior. Palmeiras are targeting their 27th Campeonato Paulista title.
