Corinthians return to training on Thursday, but André Carrillo will not report with the squad. The Peru midfielder has an extended break and is due back on Monday 29 June.

"No dia 25, quem não estará presente? Memphis Depay e Carrillo. Ele deve chegar no dia 29," Marcelo Paz said in an interview with Identidade Corinthiana.

Carrillo played 56 minutes in Peru’s 5 June win over Haiti in Miami, then 28 minutes in a 3-1 loss to Spain in Puebla three days later. The matches were tune ups for World Cup sides, while Peru, not in the tournament, continue towards the 2028 Copa América.

His last Corinthians outing came on 30 March, an eight-minute cameo in the 3-1 victory at Grêmio in Porto Alegre, in round 18 of the Brasileiro.

Fernando Diniz’s team face FC Cascavel in a friendly on 12 July at Estádio Olímpico Regional in Paraná, then host Remo on 23 July at 19:30 in the Brasileirão. Signed in 2024, the 35-year-old has 96 appearances for the club, with six assists and three goals, and has won the 2025 Paulista, the 2025 Copa do Brasil and the 2026 Supercopa do Brasil.
