As preparations continue for the Apertura 2026 Tournament of Liga MX Femenil, Club Deportivo Guadalajara announces that Casandra Montero’s cycle as a Chivas Femenil player has come to an end.

Montero helped build one of the most successful eras for El Rebaño in recent years, serving as one of the team’s pillars during the historic 2022 double-winning campaign, in which Chivas captured both the Clausura title and the Campeón de Campeones for the AP21-CL22 season. Along the way, she earned multiple call-ups to the Mexican National Team and put her footballing qualities at the service of the team in different positions across the field.

“Cas” leaves an important mark on Guadalajara after establishing herself among the Top 10 players with the most appearances in the club’s history, totaling 177 Liga MX Femenil matches in which she scored 10 goals and served as one of the team captains throughout her time with the club.

We thank Casandra for all her hard work, dedication, commitment, and love for the Chivas Femenil colors during her time with the team, and we wish her success in her future endeavors.
