Casparij named November WSL Player of the Month | OneFootball

Kerstin Casparij has been voted Barclays Women's Super League Player of the Month for November.

The Dutch international fought off competition from City team-mate Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw for the award, as well as Chelsea’s Alyssa Thompson, Everton’s Kelly Gago, London City Lionesses’ Freya Godfrey and Liverpool’s Beata Olsson.

It’s her first WSL Player of the Month award and testament to the fantastic start she’s enjoyed to the 2025/26 campaign.

Casparij’s excellent season continued in November with two clean sheets and two assists across our three matches, with City maintaining a 100% record in the process.

First, the Dutch defender helped us to a 1-0 win over West Ham before we earned a gutsy 2-1 win on Merseyside against Everton.

We then rounded off November in the WSL with a memorable 3-0 win over Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.

Casparij was one of our standout performers in that victory, setting up Shaw and Lauren Hemp as the Blues ran riot to record an eighth-straight WSL win.

Heading into the latest international break, Kerstin’s six goal involvements are double that of any other defender in the WSL so far.

She’s been equally influential off the pitch as well, stepping up to wear the captain’s armband in the absence of the injured Alex Greenwood.
