Kerstin Casparij has been nominated for October's PFA WSL Fans' Player of the Month award.

The Dutch international was a key part of an outstanding month for the Blues, which saw us maintain a 100% record across October.

City got the better of Arsenal to begin the month, with Casparij setting up our opener at the Joie Stadium with a pinpoint cross for Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw.

She then helped us regain our lead after the Gunners had equalised with a close-range finish from a corner, as Andrée Jeglertz’s side eventually ran out 3-2 winners.

Casparij’s fine form continued the following week at Anfield, as we came from behind to snatch all three points on Merseyside.

Goals from Iman Beney and Aoba Fujino earned City a 2-1 win over Liverpool, but Kerstin was once again a key figure in defence as we dug deep to grab an important win.

As testament to the defender’s key role in the team, Casparij also wore the captain’s armband for the first time in our recent 1-0 win over West Ham, exemplifying the incredible form she’s in right now.

Kerstin is up for October’s PFA WSL Fans’ Player of the Month award alongside Chelsea midfielder Erin Cuthbert, London City Lionesses’ Elena Linari, Aston Villa’s Lynn Wilms and Manchester United duo Ella Toone and Jess Park.
