CD Castellón set out pre-season, friendlies and August league start | OneFootball

CD Castellón will open pre-season on Monday 13 July, a month after their 2025/26 campaign ended on 9 June with defeat in the play-off semi-final. After medicals, the squad report to Ciudad Deportiva La Coma at 9.15 under head coach Pablo Hernández, who has renewed his deal and begins his first pre-season in charge.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the first friendly is on Saturday 18 July at 19.00 at La Coma against CE Sabadell, newly promoted to Segunda. A week later, on Saturday 25 July at 20.00, Castellón visit Valencia CF at the club’s training ground.

The team will then split work between La Coma and a camp at Royalverd in Olot, Girona. There they face Girona CF, relegated to Segunda, on Wednesday 29 July at 18.30 at the Girona Football Academy, followed by Deportivo Alavés, a Primera side, on Friday 31 July at the Estadi Municipal de Olot, time to be confirmed.

The final tune-ups come on consecutive days, Friday 7 August against Hércules CF of Primera RFEF at the José Rico Pérez in Alicante at 19.30, then Saturday 8 August at La Coma versus Levante UD at 19.00. Along with Valencia and Alavés, Levante are one of three Primera opponents this summer.

The league begins the weekend of 15-16 August, with Castellón away to Real Sociedad’s B team in Zubieta, kick-off to be confirmed. Their first home match at SkyFi Castalia falls on the 22-23 August weekend against CE Sabadell, and it could be scheduled on a Friday or Monday.
