Celtic have confirmed that Daizen Maeda will be available to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday. The Japanese forward was a big miss from the side that lost at Villa Park against Aston Villa after receiving a red card against Young Boys in the closing stages of the game and it was expected that he would miss the game against the six-time European Champions.
However, Celtic have confirmed that Daizen will be available after the club successfully appealed his two-match suspension.
This is a huge boost not only for the supporters but the players as Daizen has been in-form for Brendan. The player scored a hat-trick at the weekend after two goals in the midweek and a goal and assist versus Motherwell.
The Scottish Champions will be hoping to make a dent against the Bundesliga leaders but they know that they’ll need to show all the qualities from the win over RB Leipzig to take a result to Bavaria. Bayern supporters will be conscious of their forthcoming clash with Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend, which could be vital in deciding whether Vincent Kompany’s side win the title.
