In similar fashion, the former Celtic boss gave a powerful address to his Hoops players prior to the Scottish League Cup final against theRangers in 2023 which was later released by Celtic TV once the 2022/2023 season finished with his side securing an historic Treble.

Just nine days after ending Tottenham’s 41-year wait for a European trophy, the Australian was dismissed – but that monumental victory against Manchester United last month ensured his legacy at the club.

Although Tottenham endured a dismal Premier League campaign, finishing 17th, the ex-Celtic manager still upheld his claim of securing silverware in his second year at every club he has managed in his illustrious managerial career.

Many Tottenham supporters were disappointed by his sacking, believing, quite rightfully, his European success – achieved by focusing on the Europa League over domestic form – had earned him a chance of taking his team into next season. In typical Daniel Levy fashion, he made a bonkers decision.

The 59 year-old departs North London having built a lasting legacy, much like the impactful tenures he enjoyed at Celtic and his previous clubs.

He consistently brought out the best in his players at Celtic, thanks in part to the powerful motivational speeches that became a hallmark of his leadership. Prior to managing in Glasgow, Jackson Irvine and Ryan McGowan had mentioned how spine-tingling his team talks were during his spell as Australian boss, and they weren’t wrong. Now the football world is just catching up.

A European final calls for an inspiring pre-match speech, and big Ange delivered just that – his empowering words are now making the rounds on social media.

Speaking to his players inside the San Mamés Stadium last month, he said: “Okay, from the day I arrived it was about family. We’re not in this position just because of our football. We’re in this position because all of you, us the staff, stuck together like family through tough times, and we’re going to need that today.”

“Remember why we do this. It’s not about just about winning things. It’s about paying back. Giving to people who love us and make sacrifices for us. So you walk out today, not just 11 brothers. Walk out today with all of us with you, with all those people with you.”

“The thousands in the stadium with you, hundreds of thousands back home with you. We’re the biggest army. They can’t stop us…they can’t stop us. What we have can’t be stopped.”

“Just go out there, play our football, be like a family. At the end of the game, when he’s lifting that trophy, you’re going to make all those people prouder than they have ever been in their life.”
