Today sees Celtic take on Aberdeen at Celtic Park, and to say it’s a massive game would be an understatement. It’s huge, and it’s vital we end our winless streak with a victory.
It’s the season of goodwill to all, but with the pressure piling on Wilfried Nancy, it will be interesting clash to say the least, with numerous protests planned before, during and after the game in regards to the way our clubs currently being mismanaged from top to bottom.

If we are to witness yet another unsure display, or even worse yet another defeat, it would engulf Paradise in a poisonous toxic atmosphere. With Nancy and the board taking the bulk of the criticism, and rightly so but at some stage the players need to stand up and be counted. They too have had a significant part to play in those four defeats.
As ever though, losing won’t be in the supporters thoughts, and we will be looking collecting all three points as we usual do, with dropping points only entering our minds due to the change from Martin O’Neill to Wilfried Nancy.

Aberdeen are on a bit of decent run domestically speaking. Jimmy Thelin’s men are on a seven game unbeaten run on the league front, and will fancy their chances of getting a first win at Celtic Park since 2018, in what was a trophy day dead rubber match with the title already won.
Fail to win today and the chances of our usual trophy day come next May will be significantly reduced. The game is being played on Sunday and not Saturday because Aberdeen were playing in Prague in the Conference League on Thursday night, so it’s them who have had the travelling and played after us so no excuses on that front for Celtic.
The Dons like every other side will be smelling blood from an unsure Celtic side devoid in confidence, and will be confident of leaving Glasgow with all three points. Something that is a damning indictment on the state of affairs at our club, at this moment in time.

Despite these justified concerns, due to a stubborn out of his depth manager, and an unsure squad of players, we are all hoping for a victory to boost the side going into the Christmas.
A much needed boost that would enhance our presently in the balance title chances. It’s not an exaggeration to state that our current run of fixtures over the festive period could make or break or season, it’s a fact. Victory over the Dons today is something that could kickstart our season and give us some much needed hope heading into the New Year.

Celtic have played reasonably well in one half of each of Nancy’s four games in charge. That has to change today with a competent 90 minute performance or that will be that for the manager and if he goes those who made the most disastrous managerial appointment in terms of club’s history will have to accept their own part in that shambles.

Only Wilfried can save them now!
