Serie A outfit Como have this week tied up a deal to bring another player to the club from Spanish football’s top-flight.

The latest star to have bid farewell to La Liga in favour of a new challenge in Italy? Luis Milla.

Midfielder Milla has for his part long been widely tipped to bring a close to his Getafe chapter this summer. This comes owing to the cut-price release clause included in his Azulones contract.

The 31-year-old is fresh off a stellar individual campaign in Madrid, culminating in double-digit assists from his berth in the middle of the park.

Such exploits did not go unnoticed across the continent, as word of Milla’s €6 million purchase clause became public knowledge.

And as alluded to above, this week, one such suitor of the Spaniard have beaten out the competition, to reach an agreement with club and player alike.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘Luis Milla to Como, here we go! Deal sealed at €6m fee with Getafe and all agreed also on player side. Milla, set to play Champions League football at Como.’
