After Real Madrid's 2-0 victory over Espanyol Barcelona in La Liga this Saturday, Dani Carvajal spoke about the incident that led to his dismissal on Tuesday in the Champions League. It happened against OM at the Bernabéu. The Spanish defender was shown a straight red card for headbutting Geronimo Rulli in the 72nd minute.

Now aware of his mistake, Carvajal felt it was important to apologize. "I want to apologize for the other day, for the sending off in the Champions League. That's something unacceptable in a match like that, especially from me. Let this be a lesson so it doesn't happen again. Well, at least we pulled through. The team put in a huge effort and got the win," he told the press.
