Champions League quarter-finals set, Barcelona face Atlético as Real Madrid draw Bayern Munich

The Champions League 2025/26 quarter-final line-up is set after the last 16 concluded, with ties and dates now clear.
As reported by Superdeporte, Sporting CP were first through, overturning a 3-0 first-leg loss to Bodø/Glimt with a 5-0 win. Real Madrid eased past Manchester City, whose early fightback ended with Bernardo Silva sent off and a penalty conceded. PSG and Arsenal also advanced, seeing off Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen.
Barcelona sealed their place by thrashing Newcastle 7-2 at the Spotify Camp Nou after a 1-1 draw at St James' Park. Inspired by Lamine Yamal, Hansi Flick's side cruised into the last eight.
Atlético Madrid, armed with a healthy first-leg lead, edged Tottenham in London and will face Barcelona next. Bayern Munich were comfortable against Atalanta, adding a 4-1 home win to the 6-1 away success. Liverpool were the final qualifiers, beating Galatasaray 4-0 at Anfield to overturn their Istanbul defeat.
The quarter-finals read as follows, PSG v Liverpool, Real Madrid v Bayern Munich, Barcelona v Atlético Madrid, and Sporting CP v Arsenal.
First legs are on 7/8 April, with returns on 14/15 April. The semi-finals follow on 28/29 April and 5/6 May, with the final on 30 May 2026.
