Champions League top scorers: Mbappe surges clear

Kylian Mbappe continued his electric form in the Champions League this season with two goals against former club AS Monaco this week.
Mbappe was on target twice inReal Madrid's 6-1 win at the Santiago Bernabeu, to make it 11 goals in just six Champions League appearances this season.
The French forward is averaging a goal every 48 minutes in Europe in 2025-26 and has fired the record-winners within reach of the last 16.
He has now scored 66 goals in theChampions League across spells at Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, to sit sixth among the competition's all-time top scorers.
Mbappe is four goals clear of nearest challengerHarry Kane, who scored both goals as Bayern Munich beat Union-Saint Gilloise 2-0 at the Allianz Arena in midweek.
Kane's brace made it seven goals in theChampions League and an astonishing 34 in 29 appearances across all competitions for the German champions in 2025-26.
Three players are tied third, with sixChampions League goals this season. Among them is Anthony Gordon, who continued his excellent European record in Newcastle's 3-0 win over PSV Eindhoven at St James' Park.
Galatasaray goal-getter Victor Osimhen and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland have also scored six UCL goals this season.
