The Chairboys are interested in signing a midfielder who could make a big impact in League One.
Charlton Athletic can hand Wycombe Wanderers a real boost during the January transfer window by allowing Karoy Anderson to join the Chairboys on loan until the end of the season.
The League One side are interested in signing the Jamaica international on a temporary basis this month, as per Richard Cawley via his Substack.
Wycombe boss Michael Duff is keen to add to his midfield options in January following injuries to Ewan Henderson and George Abbott, who are expected to be out until February.
The Chairboys are reportedly also considering moves for former loanees Cameron Humphreys and Aaron Morley, who are both currently out of favour at Ipswich Town and Bolton Wanderers respectively.
With Humphreys and Morley having shown what they are capable of in Wycombe colours previously, the club may prioritise those two targets if they are able to acquire them, but there are plenty of reasons to argue that Anderson would be an equally shrewd acquisition.

If Wycombe sign Anderson on loan from Charlton this month, they will be bringing in a player who made 46 appearances in all competitions for a side that won promotion to the Championship last season.
The 21-year-old would add energy, physicality and tenacity to the Chairboys' midfield, with his work rate and combativeness being key reasons why he is rated so highly by Nathan Jones at The Valley.
The Addicks' boss rewarded Anderson with a new contract in September, which will keep him in SE7 until 2028, so it is clear that the midfielder is seen as a player who has a long-term future at Charlton.
Anderson has only made seven Championship appearances this season, but there is no denying he made an impact when he was brought into the side in December.
He was brought off the bench at half-time with Charlton two goals down at home to Middlesbrough last month, before immediately lifting the crowd with a robust challenge in the opposition half. Despite losing the game, Charlton came out on top in the second half of that 2-1 defeat.
That display earned him a start the following week away against Birmingham City, where his performance in the 1-1 draw saw him voted Player of the Match on his first Championship start. The away end could be clearly heard singing his name at St Andrew's: "He's Nathan Jones' man, he's better than Zidane, we've got Karoy Anderson."
With plenty of competition at Charlton, Anderson would no doubt benefit from playing regular football in League One between now and the end of the season.
While he has room for improvement on the ball, his effectiveness out of possession and experience of success in League One would make him a smart signing for Michael Duff and Wycombe Wanderers.

Wycombe saw first-hand what Anderson was capable of last season, as the midfielder made four appearances against them for Charlton over the course of the campaign.
He featured from the bench during the Addicks' league victory at The Valley, as well as coming on in both legs of the League One play-off semi-final, with his playing style well suited to seeing games out in winning positions.
Anderson started in Charlton's 4-0 win at Adams Park in April, with his header just after the hour mark completing the rout for the visitors.
Wycombe will hope he can recreate that kind of performance at Adams Park on a regular basis if he joins the club on loan, and there is every chance he could make a real impact if he performs similarly to how he did in the Championship last month, with Duff no doubt eyeing a charge for the play-offs during the second half of the season.
